God, Do A Work In Us

Exodus 4:10-14
10 Then Moses said to the LORD, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”
11 So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? 12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
13 But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.”
14 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and He said: "Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

It is hard to remember that Moses was not always the obedient and leader he turned out to be. In the beginning, he was a scared and frightened man who did not feel like he could do things for the Lord. The Lord was with Moses and used him and those around him to get God's plan done.

A lot of God's miracles seem instantaneous, but sometimes is is a journey and some journey's such as Moses' start off with one who is not capable and is afraid. The Holy Spirit does a work in our spirit and changes us from the inside out. We can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.

Father God, I thank you for who You are. You are the miracle worker, you are the Almighty, the beginning and the end. There is no one else like You. You change us and guide us and never leave us. Lord, I know through the testimony of Moses that You can do all things. There is nothing You can not do. I pray for strength from You. Lord, I pray for Your Holy Spirit to give me strength to continue the good works that you have set out for me. I pray that You be gloried. In Jesus mighty name.
Amen.

God Draws Us Towards Him

Exodus 3:1-3
1 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3 So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up."

This is when God shows up to Moses inside a burning bush. Moses does not know that it is God in there at first, so he goes over to check it out to realize that God is speaking to Moses.

I find a lot of the same thinking in what Moses did. If at first, I see a burning bush, I would think the same way Moses did and go over and check it out. I think God sometimes uses our own nature and curiosity to drawn us into Him. If Moses didn't feel the need to check out the burning bush, I'm sure He would have found another way to draw the attention of Moses.

Father God, You are Mighty and Mighty to be praises forever and ever because You are the God of this place. Lord, You call us and sometimes we never know it. I pray that I may know when you call. Allow me to hear You. Let my nature be drawn to You. I pray for Your Holy Spirit to guide me and that I may seek after You. Thank you so much. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

The Barely Mentioned Directed By God

Exodus 2:4-8
4 His sister stood at a distance to see what would happen to him.

5 Then Pharaoh's daughter went down to the Nile to bathe, and her attendants were walking along the river bank. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her slave girl to get it. 6 She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. "This is one of the Hebrew babies," she said.

7 Then his sister asked Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I go and get one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?"

8 "Yes, go," she answered. And the girl went and got the baby's mother.

From what I understand, Moses had a sister and was watching as the mother hid him in the river. Later, when the Pharaoh's daughter found him, she was the one who suggested Moses' mother to take care of him.

There is a common theme from what I am reading in His words recently. This is the first time that I realize that his sister was the one that got the mother to take care of baby Moses. God uses even the barely mentioned to do great things.

Father God, You are so awesome. I know that you love even the least of men. I know that the greatest of this Universe cares for the little of us. It even shows in this passage as you used Moses' sister to take him into the Pharaoh's kingdom. Thank you for your grace. I pray this all to give you praise.
Amen.

God Blesses The Barely Mentioned

Exodus 1:20-21
20 So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous. 21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

Shiphrah and Puah were the names of the two midwives that were in charge of killing the baby boys, but because they obeyed God over Pharaoh, God was pleased with this and blessed them.

These two names are hidden in the whole Bible, yet they were written down here in Exodus so that we may draw rhema from God's word. God blesses these two for their obedience in Him. Even the insignificant and barely mentioned people in the Bible play a huge role in God's plan, and He blesses them.

Father God, I thank you for knowing and loving me. You saved me to allow me to know You. It is awesome that you care even for the people who think they don't mean anything. You bless them, and you bless me. Thank you so much, Lord. You are the great One. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Able To Change By Choosing Christ

Dan 12:8-10
8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, "My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?"

9 He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

This passage speaks about the end times and when these prophecies will come to be.

This scripture shows me that, although there will be evil and wicked people who will not know God, many will be MADE clean, which is through the blood of Jesus Christ. We are able to change and choose Him.

Father God, you are so awesome. Your blood is greater than all things. I pray for your Holy Spirit to cover me with your grace. Thank you for allowing us to choose You. It is Your love for us that I am redeemed and able to be saved. I thank you so much. Lord, I pray for my heart to be after Your heart. I pray that you change me from the inside out. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Stand Firmly In Christ

Dan 11:31-32
31 "His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. 32 With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.

Daniel's prophecy predicts those that are put through persecution and fall to deception and corruption of the defilement of God. Others will stand firm and resist.

I need to be strong at times when persecution comes. Even through the rough times, I must stand firmly in God.

Father, You are the mighty one, and without, I can do nothing. You are my strength. You are my hope. You lead me and guide me. I pray that I may firmly stand in faith that You are my God. I pray that i draw strength and courage from You. Let your name be glorified in Jesus name.
Amen.

Trust In The Lord

Dan 10:7-9
7 I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; the men with me did not see it, but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves. 8 So I was left alone, gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left, my face turned deathly pale and I was helpless. 9 Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground.

Daniel was the only person who was able to see the vision of this messenger of God. Everyone else got scared and ran away.

God is speaking to me about trust. For some odd reason, he is showing me the trust between people. The men with Daniel didn't trust in him, and so they ran away when they got scared. I think God is speaking to me to trust in certain people, and not to run away from certain situations.

Father God, I thank you for this word that you have given me. I know that it seems like a mystery to me right now, but I trust in You and I know that you are preparing me for when the time is needed for me to trust others. I pray for your wisdom and understanding. Thank you so much. Be honored and glorified in Jesus name.
Amen.

By The Grace Of God

Dan 9:17-19
17 "Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. 18 Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 19 O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name."

Daniel is praying in petition for his people, crying out to God to show mercy to them and to rescue them from the consequences that they deserve.

I like the theme that was clearly pointed out in Daniel's prayer, that we request and ask not because we are righteous, but because we serve a merciful and gracious God.

Father God, the maker of the heavens and the earth, the holy and mighty one who deserves all the praises of his people. Who am I to give you praise and glory, but you are the one who knows me and delights in your servant's praise. You are righteous, and I am definitely not. It is not my own strength that I am able to praise, worship, and live my life for you, but it is by your grace and mercy that You have allowed me to love you, because you first loved me. Thank you Lord. You are awesome. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Though I Know Not, I Will Obey

Dan 8:26-27
26 "The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future."

27 I, Daniel, was exhausted and lay ill for several days. Then I got up and went about the king's business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.

Daniel was told by the angel Gabriel to seal up the vision that was given to him, and he did so.

God does many things through us and shows us and speaks to us in many methods. Through this passage, I know that I must obey Him. Sometimes, we may not know everything, and many things may be mysteries, but even through our curiosities, we need to obey the Lord and do as He says.

Father God, I give you all the glory because you deserve it and more. My mind is full of curiosity, but I pray that you may allow me to continue to obey your words and to do as You say. I pray for not my will, but for Your will to be done. Let Your name reign. I pray this in Jesus mighty name.
Amen.

Jesus Reigns

Dan 7:26-27
26 ‘ But the court shall be seated,
And they shall take away his dominion,
To consume and destroy it forever.
27 Then the kingdom and dominion,
And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven,
Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’

Daniel's dream shows these four beast ruling over the land. Later, his vision shows the Most High coming and ruling forever and ever.

This scripture truly relates back to Jesus, the Most High who rules forever and ever. These four beast are different, just as how the enemy comes at you at different ways. In the end, Jesus is the Savior who comes to take over.

Father God, You are so awesome. You are great and mighty and powerful. I worship and praise you in all that I am. Let it be known that there is a time when you will reveal your Kingdom, and that You will reign forever and ever. I give you all the glory. Allow me to follow you and trust in You. Let me not be defeated by the enemy, but to stay in Your grace. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Have Faith That God Can Turn Any Situation Around

Dan 6:25-28
25 Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land:
"May you prosper greatly!

26 "I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.
"For he is the living God
and he endures forever;
his kingdom will not be destroyed,
his dominion will never end.

27 He rescues and he saves;
he performs signs and wonders
in the heavens and on the earth.
He has rescued Daniel
from the power of the lions."

28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

After the king was tricked into signing a decree, Daniel was found guilty of breaking this decree and was thrown into the lion's den. God saved him and was then lifted even higher in the sight of the king.

God can do miracles. He can turn any situation for His purpose. He not only saved Daniel for trusting in Him, but used this situation to lift Daniel up even more, all for His glory.

Father God, I pray for faith like Daniel. He trusted You to save him. Even in a situation that he was put through, you stood by his side and he trusted You. I pray for faith like that. I know it probably is tough, but give me strength. Let it all be for Your glory in Jesus name.
Amen.
