Lord, Give Me Strength To Continue

2 Tim 4:16-18
16At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. 17But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth. 18The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Paul is writing about his trust in God to encourage Timothy. God has stood at his side through everything to give him strength. This allowed Paul to preach the gospel to all to hear.

Paul speaks of being alone, where everyone deserted him. In the same way, I feel the same where, where there is no one around, but God is with me. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack, and allow me to proclaim His name.

Father God, I ask that you keep me in your presence. I ask that I may remember that You are with me. Thank you for being at my side, standing with me through the tough times. I pray for your strength to continue on. It is tough, but I know you will guide me through this. I ask for your blessing and that I may be used according to Your will. I pray this to glorify You in Jesus name.
Amen.

Christ's Afflictions For The People

Col 1:24
24Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.

Paul says that his heart aches for the afflictions of the body of Christ.

This passage speaks to my heart about the lost people that are out there that do not know God. Just like Paul, there needs to be a aching in our hearts to love others so much, knowing that they need Jesus.

Father God, I want to pray for the lost people who need You. I ask that I may speak into their lives, to make a difference, in accordance with Your purpose for me. I ask for your boldness in doing this. I can not do this by myself, but to leave it in your hands. I ask this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Being Imitators Of God

Ephesians 5:1
1Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children

This short phrase says so much about the life that we should live according to God.

We need to be imitators of God. To imitate Him is to do as He does, to be like how He is, and to Love as He has loved.

Father God, I pray that I may imitate You. You, the awesome and great God of this Universe. I thank you for your love. I ask that I may be like you in all that I do. I thank you for your grace upon me, the blessings that you have blessed me with, and the life that I have lived. I pray that I can be like you. I want to do this to glorify You in Jesus name.
Amen.

Being Content With God's Blessings

Prov 30:8-9
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.

9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, 'Who is the LORD ?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

This prayer is a prayer of humility, of trusting in God, and in allowing Himself to be led by God.

I need to pray this prayer of humility. I must not seek the riches and glory, but to allow God to use me and to mold me. Through this passage, it shows me that I am content with what God has blessed me with.

Father God, You are the create of the heavens and the earth. You are so awesome. Your glory is evident in all the land. I know You. I thank You. I pray that you may give me my daily bread. Let me not be greedy, let me not be in need, let me not be wanting, but be content with Your blessings. I thank you so much. You are so great. I want to praise and glorify Your name.
Amen.
