Intentionally Keeping The Holy Spirit In Me

1 Thess 5:19-22
19Do not put out the Spirit's fire; 20do not treat prophecies with contempt. 21Test everything. Hold on to the good. 22Avoid every kind of evil.

The writer is encouraging the followers of Christ to continue to keep in the faith. It says here to not put out the Spirit's fire, meaning to keep in God's faith and to seek Him and His Holy Spirit.

What was revealed to me here is that we are the ones that take the action and puts out the Spirit's fire. A lot of times we complain and or say that we are losing our relationship with Christ, but it is not a passive thing, we are intently putting out the Holy Spirit's fire. I need to seek the Holy Spirit more, and to fast and pray and digest God's words more and more.

Father God, I love You so much. You are the the Holy and Mighty. Your blood redeemed me. Your compassion for me is so great. Thank you for everything. Thank you for the blessings and favor you have for me. I thank you for this word of encouragement. I pray and seek that I may keep Your flame in my Spirit going. Not wanting to let it die. Allow me to spark the Holy Spirit in me. I pray this in all things in Jesus name.
Amen.

God's Blessing Bares Witness

1 Thess 4: 11-12
11Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, 12so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

The Lord speaks of living a life that is pleasing to Him. One that works hard and does due diligence to the Lord. In all these things, God will bless, and no one can take credit for that. All may see that the Lord grants favor.

Even in my life, it is not by my own strength or my own will and hard work, but by the favor and blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am blessed. All may see the blessings that He has provided in my life.

Father God, I thank you so much for all the blessings that You gave me. You are so awesome. All this could not be by my own strength, but by your favor. I give you all the honor and glory. Let my life be a witness to the great God of the Universe. I thank you. I love you. In Jesus Mighty name.
Amen.

God Allows Others To Encourage You In Your Faith

1 Thess 3:2
2 and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith,

When Paul left the Thessalonians, he sent Timothy to encourage them in their faith. This passage is perfect for a situation like mines where I believe brothers and sisters in Christ really do encourage me in my faith. Everyone needs accountability, and without others to be accountable, I believe my faith in Christ will be lacking.

I need to keep brothers and sisters in Christ in my life to help me be accountable, to encourage me in my faith, and to be led through the Holy Spirit to guide me in the Lord.

Father God, I pray for your words to speak so clearly in my life. I honor you and praise Your name, and through this, I give thanks for all that you have done in my life. I know that You are God, and to strengthen my faith in You. I pray for brothers and sisters in Christ to encourage me, to help me in my walk with you, and to lead me closer to a relationship with You. I thank you for Your love and grace. I give You all the glory and honor and praise in Jesus name.
Amen.
