Faith And Passion To Seek The Lord

Luke 19:2-6
2A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. 4So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

5When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." 6So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

I can only imagine the thoughts and passion of Zacchaeus. He wanted to see Jesus so badly, that he would do something as silly as climbing a tree. I can't imagine myself doing something such as climbing a tree, but it shows the faith and passion that he had for Jesus.

How passionate am I for the Lord? Am I so passionate that I would consider climbing a tree in public to see Jesus. It seems really silly to do it, but to what extent would I take to know the Lord? I need the kind of faith that Zacchaeus had, faith and passion to seek God.

Father God, I thank you for your words. I know that your words will not return void. I pray that you may make your words rhema to my life, and change it and mold it in your ways. Allow my faith and passion for you be even more greater. I want to know you and follow your ways. Keep me in your Spirit, surrounded by your blessing and anointing. Thank you for all this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Fasting To Overcome The Situation Through The Lord

Esther 4:15-17
15 Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: 16 "Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."

17 So Mordecai went away and carried out all of Esther's instructions.

Again, we see here fasting, and praying in times of a situation that is to come. Esther and her people go into fasting and praying for what is about to happen, in preparation.

I need to also be keeping myself in fasting. It is for the Lord that I may seek Him and be prepared for the situation that He wants me to overcome. I know that through fasting and seeking God, I may come out stronger in Christ.

Father God, I thank you for your words of fasting and praying and seeking and preparing ourselves for you. Let my words be a dedication to honoring you. I pray that you give me strength that I may be able to live my life in accordance to your will. Bless me and be with me I pray. In Jesus name.
Amen.

Showing Forgiveness For The Sin Of This World

Luke 17:1-4
1Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3So watch yourselves.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."

Sin is bound to happen because we are humans and are living in a sinful world. We are not perfect, and eventually, will sin. The great thing here is that we can be forgiven for our sins. Jesus has paid the price of our sin, so that we are saved through His blood.

We should all forgive one another. Sinning against one another and falling in sin will occur, but it is forgiveness that gives life. We need to forgive the sin that is in us and in each other. It's going to be tough, but through Christ who strengthens us, we can do it.

Father God, I thank you for your anointed word. I thank you for your forgiveness for my sins. I thank you for your loving kindness towards me, and pray that I may also forgive others their sins. Lift me up to another level where we are able to love one another like how you loved us. I thank you for all this. Bless it and anoint it in Jesus name.
Amen.

The Good Lord Lifts Us Up And Saves Us

Psalms 138:7
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life;
you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes,
with your right hand you save me.

The Lord knows my name. He knows my every thought. He knows my troubles, and He saves me from all my iniquities. He stretches His right hand to lift me up. The Lord is good, and greatly to be praised.

The Lord is awesome in all His ways. Although I don't deserve His mercy and all that He has blessed me with, He still loves me for who I am. I may sin against Him, yet He is a forgiving God who covers it with His blood.

Father, thank you Lord for your goodness. There is no way how I can comprehend such love for me. I thank you so much for what you have done for me. I thank you for your saving grace, for it is through Christ Jesus that I may live. Thank you Lord for your goodness, for lifting me and saving me. I give you all the glory honor and praise in Jesus name.
Amen.

The Love Of The Father Is So AWESOME!

Luke 15:21-24
21"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

22"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. 24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.

Wow, this passage always hits me every time I read it. It shows the love of the Father, our heavenly Father, and how His love for us is so great. Even though we have sinned, He still loves us, and forgives us.

It is only through the power of the cross and the blood of Jesus that I am forgiven. I thank God that He is such a loving God. The Father's compassion for me is so great that it is incomprehensible. It's just AWESOME.

Father God, you are so great. I love you so much. I know of the love that you have showed me. Your blood covers all the sins that I have done. You have forgotten it. I thank you for all of this. I thank you for your loving kindness. I praise your Holy name that you be glorified. I realize the greatness of your love is so wonderful. Thank you Lord.
Amen.
