Philp 2:14-15
14Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
God wants a heart that will serve willingly. If we are constantly complaining and arguing about life, about the things that we have, about the situations that we are in, we are doing this to God. We are saying to Him that this is not good enough for us.
Who are we to complain to God for the great blessings that we have. Sometimes we look at all the negative so much, that we forget that we are so blessed. This generation is so numb to the fact that God is Good, and He has blessed us with so much. We need to not complain or argue, but be humble and have a heart of thanksgiving for the appreciation of what God has done in our lives.
Father, you are awesome. You, the maker of heaven and earth, the God of this wonderful Universe. You are so great, why do we complain and argue? You have blessed us and given us so much, life and an abundant life. Who are we to complain against you for the situations that you place us in? Lord, give me a heart to understand and to humble myself to appreciate you more. Let me love more and more everyday. Though that may be hard at times, I pray for that. Again, I thank you for all that you have done. I give you all the glory and honor in Jesus Christ name.
Amen.

Jesus Made The Cornerstone Of My Life
Eph 2:19-22
19Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, 20built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
This passage speaks of Jesus as our center, our cornerstone, in our life. He is the one which our lives is surrounded around. Our salvation and life is built on Him, who dwells in our hearts.
I must live a life according to that which God wants of me. Am I living a life that shows God as my center of my life? I want to reflect on that statement, and think about the things in my life that show this truth, and shows this lie. He is dwelling in my spirit. I should live a life that is pleasing in every way to Him.
Father God, I praise you in all that I do, in the breath that I take, in the places that I go, in the conversations that I have. Let me live a life that shows you as the center of it. I pray that whatever things that does not do this, allow me to be molded and changed so that I can show you as my Christ. Let my spirit yearn for your cornerstone in my life. I pray that you be made the center. I praise you and give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

The Continuing Debt To Love One Another
Rom 13:7-10
7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
8Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. 9The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 10Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
This is an awesome passage of the importance of love, that it is owed as a continuing debt to one another. This means that, by default, we should be loving everyone, our fellowman, as to fulfill the law.
Again, we are encouraged to give what is due to us, but more importantly, we should love as it is automatically due to us. Love is the sum of what we need to do, just as God has loved us, we too should love one another.
Father God, I pray that your spirit of love just be so present in my life. I pray for it more and more, that you allow me to have more love and compassion for those around me, for those that are in my life, for those that I encounter daily. I pray for your Spirit of love, because that is the best love one can know. I thank you for this continuing work in my life. I give thanks to you in Jesus name.
Amen.

Your Heart Believe And Your Mouth Confess
Rom 10:9-10
9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
I have gone through many times where the question is asked, "How do you know that you are saved?" Many times I ask that of myself too. Here, it states the reason why we can say that, through faith, we are saved.
As Christians, we must have an assurance that we are saved under the blood of Christ. Many people doubt that they are really saved, but it is simpler than people believe. Only through salvation can we really reach new levels for God. If we are always doubting, then the devil is doing a number on us. We must believe and know that Jesus is Lord.
Father God, I thank you for your salvation. I pray that your words of salvation speak into my life. Let my spirit know and constantly remind me of who you are and who I am in you. Lord, I lift you up and I want to glorify your name. I give you all the glory and honor and praise in Jesus name.
Amen.

Sin And Death Do Not Reign, But I Am Made Righteous Through Grace
Romans 6:11-14
11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
Sometimes I feel like sin can take over my life. Sometimes sin is so great, that it feels like God is not present in my life.
We are to count ourselves dead to sin, because we are living in Christ Jesus. We are not under the master of sin, but under the covering of grace by God. We do not have to worry about sin, but instead giving ourselves to the fullness of God. That is when we are made alive in Christ.
Father God, I praise you for your grace that has fallen upon my life. I thank you for that, Lord. Lord, let sin not overtake my life, but to overcome it by your grace on the Cross. I pray that I may not obey that sinful nature of my flesh, but to follow and obey what you have said. Give me strength to go through trials and temptations. Give me your hand in my life. I need you. Thank you, Lord. I give you all the glory and honor in Jesus name.
Amen.
