T5+: Satisfying God

Something good can happen when a human being is dissatisfied. A high-level scientist suffered severe chemical burns in a laboratory accident. He grew dissatisfied with the different treatments available for his injuries. So he began performing experiments in search of a satisfactory skin cream. Twelve years and thousands of experiments later he finally developed that skin cream, which is now used by many.

What satisfies God?
They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, "They are my people, " and they will say, "The Lord is our God" (Zechariah 13:9)

God is not satisfied unless His people have a living relationship with Him. It's not good enough to think about God only when you have a crisis or other great need in your life. It's not enough to pray only when you feel like it or only when you're asked to pray in Sunday School or youth group. God loves you so much that He wants to be your Father and your Friend all the time- no matter what's going on in your life. This will bring Him satisfaction; you'll be satisfied as well.

If I could grow in my relationship with God more, I feel that I want to grow more in the way that I am able to hear from God, so that I may know what He wants for me. I know that there are many things that He may not let me know because I may not be ready, but being ready to obey Him is something that I can tangibly work on, but hearing from God is something that I want to grow more in so that I know His will and the His wisdom.

Father God, I thank you for your Love for me and giving your Son so that I may be with you in heaven. Lord, I pray that you are the only thing that satisfies me and more importantly, that I satisfy you. Lord, I pray that our relationship grow closer together, so that I may know you more. Let me be able to listen to you and hear you daily. Lord I thank you and I want to give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

T5+: He Gives to Everyone

Most people find it easy to be nice to someone who's been nice to them first. The opposite is also true: When people have been cheated, badmouthed, or injured by someone, revenge is likely on their minds. How does this compare to God's actions and attitude?

Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who makes the storm clouds. He gives showers of rain to men, and plants of the field to everyone. (Zechariah 10:1)

God is on the receiving end of human sin countless times every day. Every time someone breaks one of His commands, it is an insult to the One who gave us life to begin with. However, God continues to give the human race the basic things it needs for survival: The prophet Zechariah mentions rain and plant life, two things we couldn't live without.

God's kindness and generosity is the best example for the believer. Just as He gives certain blessings to everyone regardless of their response, Christians need to act [and react] similarly to those around them. God's generous ways lead people to turn toward Him and away from their sin. Your behavior as a believer can also help people turn to God.

Sometimes it is hard to be generous to those around me because I am always caught up in the things that I am doing, what I am focusing on at that time. It seems like there isn't enough time to help myself out as well as someone else. We all have the urge to help ourselves first before we do anything for anyone else.

Father God, I thank you for your word and the message of blessing others, not just myself. Lord, I thank you for having the opportunities to bless others. Lord, I thank you for your blessings and the great love that you give to each one of us. I thank you and let me do as you have shown and be a blessing to others, belivers and non believers, so that all may know that you are my God. I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

T5+: Harvested Little?

Dan, like many people, was deeply in debt. He worked long and hard, even working a second job from time to time. Nevertheless, it seemed like the money evaporated before it could get the bills paid.

On his way to make some extra money, he was listening to a radio preacher. He told how god's people in the Old Testament, after bing released from Babylonian captivity, had neglected to rebuild the temple, their place to meet god and worship Him. they had focused on their own homes and forgotten God's house. To get their attention, God brought disaster on their crops and other projects.
"You have planted much, but have harvested little. you eat, but never have enough...Why?" declares the Lord Almighty. "Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house" (Haggai 1:6,9)

Dan realized that he had been so busy making a living that he too had forgotten about supporting God's work. He pulled off the road and asked God to forgive him and help put Him first. Soon afterward, Dan found that God's financial blessing was beginning to flow in his life again.

With the message that Pastor Ray was giving, we each take our parts in helping clean and work hard to maintain the church for the Lord. These things are such as cleaning up and taking out the trash, doing ministry work through consolidation and discipleship and calling up and checking up on those who you are discipling. God says that He will have a reward in heaven for the things that are given to His servants.

Father God, I thank you for your love for me that you may give your Son to die for my sins. Lord, I thank you and I know that you want to have the church, you body of people, keep your temple and holy place maintained as well as the ministry that you have put us to take care of running. Lord, Let me be a servant for you and do as you say with a humble heart. Lord, I thank you for the opportunity to humble myself for you. Let me grow from this. I thank you and give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

T5+: Living For the Kingdom

Ryan worked hard at a small design company. He moved up in his job from cleaning offices to serving on a team creating advertising logos.

One day, Tom, his boos, surprised Ryan by telling him, "Two of your coworkers have offered to buy my business. I have accepted. I'm starting an even larger one across town, and I'd like you to help me run it." It didn't take long for Ryan to think about it. His faithfulness had paid off!
The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 11:15).

Jesus Christ is ruling this world invisibly, right now. Someday He will rule visibly, and crush all opposition to His power. What is the key to being on His side in that day? You need to be on His side right now! Just as Ryan was rewarded for his faithfulness to Tom and his company, you will be rewarded for your relationship with Christ when He completes His kingdom on earth.

Right now, I am serving God's kingdom through ministry and sharing his gospel. I feel that His words are important and that all need to have salvation through Christ Jesus. God loved all of us so much that Jesus Christ came to earth so that He may die for our sins so that we may have salvation through Him.

Father God, I thank you for all that you have done for me. Lord, I pray that these prayers and these faithfulness will not return void. Lord, I pray that I may be a witness to all for your glory, that all may know that they have salvation through Christ Jesus. Lord, I thank you and I live my life according to your word. Lord, I pray that these ministries also show fruit and I pray that you be with me as I am able to build your church up and disciple. Thank you for being with me Lord. I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

T5+: They Did Not Stop

Have you ever watched a builder pour cement? Despite how easily it can be shaped when it's first poured, within a day or two it's hard as rock. It can be used as a driveway, a sidewalk, or even the foundation of a building.

The Bible says the human heart can become just as hard and unyielding, but in a spiritual way.
The rest of mankind that were not killed by hese plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood... Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts (Revelation 9:20,21)

Even after the violent and deadly judgements described in Revelation, people will refuse to turn away from sin. Their hearts will be like cement that thas hardened and can no longer be shaped into anything else.

Christians have the responsibility of keeping their hearts soft and tender before God. By spending time each day in prayer and Bible reading, you can avoid the hardening that seperates people from God. He will meet you where you are, and help you remain faithful to Him.

Temptation, and laziness are some of the things that would pull me away from God. Sometimes it is difficult to stay faithful to His laws and His words and to read the Bible everyday.

Father God, I thank you for your word. Lord, give me strength to overcome temptation of sin and an character of laziness. Let me make it a point to get to read and eat from your words every single day. Lord, I pray that I maintain a healthy relationship with you and have constant communication with you and the Holy Spirit. Lord, I thank you for this relationship. I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

How Great Is The Law

Psalms 119:70-72
70 Their hearts are callous and unfeeling,
but I delight in your law.

71 It was good for me to be afflicted
so that I might learn your decrees.

72 The law from your mouth is more precious to me
than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.

The word of God and His laws are the basis for the judgement of God. To not care for them is to give up your life because you don't care. The Lord gave us His law so that we may know what the standard is.

We should know what God's words and laws are so that we may fully understand what God's standards are. It is not the law that gives us salvation, that is through Christ Jesus, but the law shows us our sins and what God wants from us.

Father God, I thank you for your laws. Lord, I pray that everyday I fight to stay Holy in your name. Forgive me for my sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord, I thank you for the grace that you gave us, so that we may have salvation through Christ Jesus. Lord, let me grow more in you. I thank you and give you all the praises in Jesus Name.
Amen.

Lord Over The Law

Eph 2:14-18
14For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, 16and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Jesus died on the cross so that we may be with God. He has given us a way to overcome the law through His death.

I have power through Christ Jesus because of His death and His resurrection, that I may live. In the law I was dead, but through His grace I am alive. We need to come to an understanding of this great gift that Christ Jesus has done for us.

Father God, I thank you for your love for me, that you have died on the cross for my own sins. I thank you for the act of love that you have done for me. Lord, let me be changed through your love. I pray that the authority that you have given to me be used in your glorious name. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Victory Over Sin

Rom 6:11-14
11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

Paul here is showing that Jesus Christ has died for us, even when we are already sinners, and has overcome sin for us, so that we may live. He is saying that we have overcome sin through the death of Jesus Christ, so we should not let our fleshly desire give in to sin.

As Christians, we are people who have died to our old selves. We no longer have to worry about our sins because Jesus has died to it for us on the cross. He has overcome sin and we now are living through Him. So now, why do we want to go back to sin when Jesus has already given us Victory over it?

Father God, I thank you for your love for us, for your Son Christ Jesus, that he has died for us on the cross so that we may live. Lord, let us die to ourselves and live in you. Let us not be tempted by ourselves and our sin because through Christ Jesus we have Victory to sin. I thank you for all this and I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.
