Even When You're Really Tired, Draw Strength From The Lord

Acts 20:7-12
7On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. 8There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting. 9Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. 10Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "He's alive!" 11Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left. 12The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.

Paul was speaking throughout the night. He must have been really tired from everything and still yet, went on preaching. The story here may focus a lot on the dead person who fell asleep and fell from dead, who then was raised back to life, but for me, I realized that Paul kept preaching even then he was probably tired.

Many times we get tired and weary. We feel like we need some sleep. Sometimes ministry will wear you down and be draining, yet through the strength of God, we must continue to minister to others. Though we are weak, God is strong, and He will give us strength to carry on.

Father God, I thank you for your strength. I know that you are the Almighty God of this Universe. When I get weak and tired, you are there to strengthen me, to keep me going. Lord, I pray that your Spirit bless me and allow me to be used by You. I give all the thanks in Jesus name.
Amen.
