God Can Use All People

Amos 1:1-3
1 The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa—what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.

2 He said:
"The LORD roars from Zion
and thunders from Jerusalem;
the pastures of the shepherds dry up,
and the top of Carmel withers."

3 This is what the LORD says:
"For three sins of Damascus,
even for four, I will not turn back my wrath .
Because she threshed Gilead
with sledges having iron teeth,

This is what the Lord does. He speaks to people and gives them vision. The beauty of this passage is that God was speaking to Amos. He was using Amos to do His will, and the thing is, Amos was not a prophet, he was not a teacher of the Law, he was not much of any spiritual leader; he was just a Shepherd, but he was willing to do God's works.

God is able to use anyone to do His will, we just have to be willing and available. We need to trust in the Lord that His will be done, and God will do great things through us.

Father, I thank you that you are not someone who only uses the great and mighty, but anyone who is willing to trust in you and obey you. I thank You that you use me to do great things. I know that you are behind me 100%, and that your anointing is covering me. I thank you and I pray that I continue to know that you are God. I pray thing and give you all the glory.
Amen.
