Men Of Great Faith

Acts 27:29-32
29Fearing that we would be dashed against the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daylight. 30In an attempt to escape from the ship, the sailors let the lifeboat down into the sea, pretending they were going to lower some anchors from the bow. 31Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, "Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved." 32So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it fall away.

This is a act of faith, faith in the soldiers, faith in Paul, and faith in all on board. In faith, from what Paul said that God would save them, they decided to cut the lifeboat away.

This is an act of great faith. I can say that I would probably have a hard time cutting those lifeboats away if I were in their shoes. They trusted in God to deliver them to safety.

Father God, let this account of Paul stretch my faith in You. I pray that I may have faith like these men, who trusted in You to deliver them. I ask that You allow me to be faithful in You, and to serve You, and to have you walk with me daily. I pray all this in Jesus name.
Amen.
