So Desperate For You To Reign

Isaiah 64:8-9
8 Yet you, LORD, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
9 Do not be angry beyond measure, LORD;
do not remember our sins forever.
Oh, look on us, we pray,
for we are all your people.

This is a cry to the Lord to return to His people. The people have sinned and so God has abandoned His people, but this prayer is a desperate cry to reach out so that He will return to His people.

I don't think we need to fall so far away from God to realize how desperate we need Him. We need to allow Him to reign in our lives. We need to be so desperate for the Lord and allow Him to use us, to mold us as clay, and allow Him to be Lord in our lives.

Father God, I am desperate for You. I need You. I know that without You, I am but yet a man living in sin. I want to remember my first love for You. How I long to be with You every moment. To bask in Your Holy Presence. Lord, I pray that I not sin, but to be so desperate for You and run to You. I pray for a heart to seek after You more and more each day. I thank You so much for my life, and the blessings and family and strength to continue each and everyday in a joyful heart. I give thanks for the praise that I can have to praise You. Lord, reign in my life. Speak to me. I give You all the glory and highest praise in Jesus name.
Amen.

A Righteous God, Salvation For All

Isiah 51:6-8
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment
and its inhabitants die like flies.
But my salvation will last forever,
my righteousness will never fail.

7 “Hear me, you who know what is right,
you people who have taken my instruction to heart:
Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals
or be terrified by their insults.
8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment;
the worm will devour them like wool.
But my righteousness will last forever,
my salvation through all generations.”

God is good and He is good forever. He states here that many things will pass, even the heavens and the earths, but God is righteous and His righteousness is forever. His salvation is forever, and it is for all generations.

This passage reminds me of how great God is and that His righteousness is beyond anything that I can even imagine. He offers salvation to all people and all generations, so that we may be righteous through His son, Jesus Christ. So, I need to focus on God's righteousness.

Father God, who am I to be in awe of how awesome You are. You are so great, and You deserve everything. Your righteousness is beyond my comprehension, and everything in You is forever good. I thank you so much for who You are, a great and righteous God, but also one who shows compassion and grace for even to the likes of mere men. I thank You for the salvation that You died for, so that the lost can come to know You. I give you all the glory and You deserve even more. I declare Your glory to all. In Jesus name.
Amen.

God Will Provide

2 Kings 15:1-2
1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign. 2 He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years.

King Azariah became King of Israel at the young age of fifteen. Imagine being the king, ruler, President, at a young age of fifteen. You will definitely need wisdom to rule.

God is a God who provides. Even as He has provided this young king with the ability to rule, He also provides us the wisdom to go forward with our lives, to impact others, to reach the lost, and to preach the gospel of Jesus.

Father God, I thank you so much for all the blessings you have given to me. I know that, more than anything, You are with me. You provide for me in all these things, in the ability to fulfill the plans you have for me life. I give You all the glory and honor in Jesus mighty name.
Amen.
