Jesus Living In My Life

Acts 7:45-50
45Having received the tabernacle, our fathers under Joshua brought it with them when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them. It remained in the land until the time of David, 46who enjoyed God's favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob. 47But it was Solomon who built the house for him.

48"However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says:
49" 'Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord.
Or where will my resting place be?
50Has not my hand made all these things?'

God is seeking a place to dwell. Man has always made place, tabernacles, temples, churches, but it is not these that God wants to live in, but to live in our lives.

Is my heart and my life a Holy place that God can dwell in. I need forgiveness for not living a holy life that God can live in. I want to have Him in my heart.

Father God, I pray for your forgiveness. I pray that I may be made Holy through Christ Jesus, so that you may dwell in my life. Lord, come into my life, and receive me now. I want You. I want You in my life. Thank you, and I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

The One Who Is Deserving, Christ Jesus

Psalms 14:2-3
2 The LORD looks down from heaven
on the sons of men
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.

3 All have turned aside,
they have together become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.

We are all sinners. There is no one who is perfect that can say that they can intercede for man, except the Son of God, Christ Jesus.

We need to thank Jesus for being the intercessor. Because he is flawless and perfect, a living sacrifice to bring God and man together. He is our Savior. The one who will allow us to have that relationship with God.

Father God, I thank you for your son, Christ Jesus, who died on the cross for my sins. I pray for your Holy Spirit power to anoint my relationship with You. I know that I can have that relationship through Christ Jesus. Lord, I thank you for your love. You WANT to be with us, yet we have disobeyed you. That is why you sent your son to die for us. Lord, I thank you. I want to thank you with my life. I give you honor and praise because you deserve it in Jesus name.
Amen.

Giving God All The Glory

Acts 3:12-16
12When Peter saw this, he said to them: "Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. 14You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. 15You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.

Although this book is called the Acts of the disciples, it is actually the acts of the Holy Spirit. These people, Peter and John, were just men, just like you and me, but what really happened was what the Holy Spirit did through them.

God is an awesome God. He uses us to do His will. It is so that He may be gloried, just as it was in this passage. His disciples gave God all the glory. We shall do the same.

Father God, I give you all the glory. I do your will so that You may be gloried. I can do no things, but only through your Holy Spirit may I be used. I pray that you may use me to do great things. I pray that I be so full of your anointing that miracles will happen through me, still giving you all the glory.
Amen.

All Are Called, To Reach The Far Off

Acts 2:38-39
38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."

God is calling us to repent and be baptized. He is calling all to come to Him. This means everyone in the whole world! What He has done is to send us to do this.

We are to be sent out by God to share the promise that He has for everyone, including those who are far off.

Father God, I pray for your anointing by Your Holy Spirit. I pray for those who are both close and far, that they may hear Your words, and be saved. Let your Holy Spirit really do wonders and miracles through me. Allow me to obey You and go, for I know that I am called by You. Giving You all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

The Passover Is About Obeying God's Instructions

Exodus 12:21-24
21 Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, "Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. 22 Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. Not one of you shall go out the door of his house until morning. 23 When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.

24 "Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants.

Many may say that the passover feast is about God destroying the people of Egypt, killing all the firstborn, but, after reading through the passage, I believe it is a account of obedience. God's people were instructed to do certain things, and they obeyed. Because they obeyed, God was able to lead them out of captivity.

Obedience is better than sacrifice. God wants us to obey His instructions. He knows what is best for us. He wants to lead us into greater things, things that will do great changes in this place. We must obey His commands.

Father God, I pray for this word of Yours. Lord, I pray that obedience comes more easily. Sometimes I have to admit, it is tough to live a life that You have called, but Lord, allow me to obey your words, to live a life after Your heart. I pray for your Holy Spirit to empower me to do this. Thank you. I praise you and give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

All People Need To Come To The Lord

Exodus 9:8-21
8 Therefore, at this time tomorrow I will send the worst hailstorm that has ever fallen on Egypt, from the day it was founded till now. 19 Give an order now to bring your livestock and everything you have in the field to a place of shelter, because the hail will fall on every man and animal that has not been brought in and is still out in the field, and they will die.' "

20 Those officials of Pharaoh who feared the word of the LORD hurried to bring their slaves and their livestock inside. 21 But those who ignored the word of the LORD left their slaves and livestock in the field.

There are all types of people. There are people that know and follow the Lord, there are people who don't know the Lord, yet still consider Him in fear, and there are people who don't know the Lord who don't believe anything from Him.

There are many different people who believe different things. We must reach all of them. Though they may not know, they are still sons and daughters of Christ. We are to reach the lost.

Father God, You are a God of all these people. Your heart cries out to us to come to You. You want all people to come in repentance and follow You. Lord, all people need You. All people, everywhere, need You so much. Lord, I want to pray for these people. These people may know You, but may not follow You. These people may not know You or follow You. Lord, I pray for all that do not have a heart after yours. I pray that their hearts be opened, and that the gospel be given to them, so that they may come to know You and come to You. I want to intercede on behalf of the people on earth. I pray for this in power and faith. Do a miracle. I know your will will come to past. I pray all this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Letting God Be Who He Is, Without Labels

Exodus 3:13-15
13 Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?"

14 God said to Moses, "I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.' "

15 God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.

Moses did not know how to tell the people the God to which he was referring to. Back then, there were many God. Gods of the sea, the weather, the earth, of getting pregnant. When asked, he was looking at what god God really is. God just answered "I Am", meaning, of all and everything. This same God is that of his fathers.

Many times, we put God into a compartment. We like to define who He is. But really, God can not be defined. He is beyond what we know and can comprehend. God is who He is. We are not to label Him. That is idolatry, when we create God in our own image.

Father, I pray that I may not label You and to put you in an image that is after my own. Lord, if I have done so, please forgive me for what I have done. I pray that You be a God. Period. Show me all of You, though I know that I will never fully grasp who You are. I pray that You be glorified. I pray that you be praised. A great and powerful almighty God of this Universe, and more. I pray all this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Bringing Up Leaders For God In The Next Generation

Exodus 1:6-10
6 Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, 7 but the Israelites were fruitful and multiplied greatly and became exceedingly numerous, so that the land was filled with them.

8 Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt. 9 "Look," he said to his people, "the Israelites have become much too numerous for us. 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country."

As Joseph passed away, all that was known about him also passed away, where the new king of Egypt did not know of the things that Joseph did. What I got from this passage is that Joseph was not able to bring up a leader from his family to pass on influence into him so that, as he dies, he will have a disciple that will lead the people.

Something that Joseph did not do, but what Jesus did, was to bring up leaders and disciples so that, when he passes away, there will be others to take up responsibility. Just like this generations, there needs to be a passing on to the next generation for God to speak into the life of His people.

Father God, I pray for your people. I want to pray and intercede for this generation, that you may bring up leaders and shakers to move the people. I pray that your Holy Spirit do a miracle in these people, that you may be ever so present. Guide us and cover us with your anointing. I pray that you speak into the heart of this generation and the next. I know that you are to do great things, and that great things are to come, until the day that we are to see the Lord Jesus. I pray all this to glorify your name.
Amen.

Humble Ourselves, Giving Our Honor and Glory To God

Luke 20:45-47
45While all the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples, 46"Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 47They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely."

During those times, many of the teachers of the Law were very open and public and used the people for their own gain. They were prideful and liked the special treatment. Jesus shows us here to humble ourselves, for we are to receive our reward in heaven.

I can admit that I like attention, many people do, but God wants us to humble ourselves, and to seek Him. We are dead to ourselves, and alive in Christ, so that Christ may be gloried. Even when we say that God be glorified, we need to act it out.

Father God, I can pray and pray that you take all the glory, but Lord, let my actions also show this as well. Let me be a humble servant of Yours, and let my life reflect You in all that I do. I thank you, Lord. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Although I Am Being, I Choose To Serve The Lord

Luke 19:1-4
1Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. 2A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. 4So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

The word that spoke out to me in this passage was "being" in verse 3. This word shows the state that Zacchaeus was in. This was something that he could not help. He can't help it that he was short. But he did something about it. He took the state that he was in, and did something about it.

We are always able to do something. God has given us the ability to choose. If we are given apples, we can choose to do something about it. In the same manner, God has given me a choice, and the choice is to serve Him or not. Although I am being a student in Hawaii, I can choose to do great things through Christ we strengthens me.

Father God, I choose You. I choose the road that you have put before me. Lord, do not let temptation and sin get in my way. Help me keep strong to your ways, and keep faithful to You. I pray that my choices reflect the love that I have for you. I thank you for all this, and I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

God Reveals Miracles, Even Though We May Be Blind To Them

Gen 45:3-7
3 Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still living?" But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.

4 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Come close to me." When they had done so, he said, "I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! 5 And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. 6 For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will not be plowing and reaping. 7 But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

This passage reminds me that God can do miracles. As we go through this book, we see events happening in the point of Joseph, but when you take it from the brothers point of view, they are seeing a miracle, that their long-lost brother, who they thought was dead, is alive and well, and in charge of Egypt. I believe THAT is an incredible miracle.

God does miracles. Sometimes we are so blind to it, that it is not revealed to us. I must open up my eyes to see what God is showing me, and I believe if I do so, he will reveal miracles and wonders to me.

Father God, You are awesome. You are so great. Lord, I know that you do amazing things still, and you will do great things in the time to come. I pray for your eyes, Lord, that you may reveal to me your greatness. Lord, let miracles happen, and instead of passing it by, let me KNOW that it is from You, a God who is present even today. I thank you, Lord, and I give you the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

Though I Am Not Favored, Give Me A Humble Heart

Gen 42:35-38
35 As they were emptying their sacks, there in each man's sack was his pouch of silver! When they and their father saw the money pouches, they were frightened. 36 Their father Jacob said to them, "You have deprived me of my children. Joseph is no more and Simeon is no more, and now you want to take Benjamin. Everything is against me!"

37 Then Reuben said to his father, "You may put both of my sons to death if I do not bring him back to you. Entrust him to my care, and I will bring him back."

38 But Jacob said, "My son will not go down there with you; his brother is dead and he is the only one left. If harm comes to him on the journey you are taking, you will bring my gray head down to the grave in sorrow."

When I read this passage, I would like to take the view of the things going on from the point of Reuben and the other brothers. Imagine how it would feel to have your father favor your brothers. Unlike earlier, where the brothers tried to kill Joseph, here Reuben want to help his father, though he is not favored.

There will be times in life that it will not be all about me. There will be times when people may not like me, even if they are even my best friends. But, it may not be about me, but about serving others. It may not be about me, but about serving God.

Father Lord, I pray that you give me a humble heart like that of Reuben. Here in this passage, though I may not be favored, I pray that you allow me to be a servant when you want me to. I pray for your Spirit to guide me in what you want from my life, and that starts with a humble heart. I thank you, Lord, and I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

When The Lord Is With Us, We Will Be Blessed

Gen 39:2-5
2 The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. 3 When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. 5 From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the LORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.

Joseph was a foreigner here, yet he did great things, he had great thing, and became great, all because of one thing; the Lord was with Joseph. So many times we forget that God is with us. We do not need to be held down to our own strength, but we have the blessing of the Lord.

I need to be holy because the Lord is holy. I need to spend time in His presence. I need to read His word daily. I need to build my relationship with God. For in all this, I know that the Lord is with me, and when the Lord is with me, I will be under His umbrella of blessing.

Father God, I know that you are with me. I pay that, if I am far from you, draw me closer to You. I want to be in Your presence. I want to be near You. I pray that I seek you so fervently, and that I may find you, and be blessed by You. I pray to know you. God, continue to reveal Yourself to me everyday. Thank you, God. I pray all this, so that You may be glorified, in Jesus name.
Amen.

God Is Calling, There Is No Excuse

Luke 14:16-21
16Jesus replied: "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.'

18"But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, 'I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.'

19"Another said, 'I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I'm on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.'

20"Still another said, 'I just got married, so I can't come.'

21"The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.'

What was revealed to me in this passage is the amount of excuses there are in life. There is even an iPhone application that produces humorous excuses.

God is calling us. Am I giving excuses? If I give Him excuses, and I truly will not do the will of God, He will get other people to do His will. I am disobeying God this way. I have no excuse if I am dead to myself, and alive in Christ.

Father God, I pray that my excuses not even be thought of when I am called to serve you. I pray against my pride and my selfishness, and I give no excuse for what you have called me for. Allow your Spirit to work in my life. I pray that I may give you glory. In Jesus name.
Amen.

A Given Title Is Meaningless Without Relationship

Gen 37:3-4
3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made a richly ornamented robe for him. 4 When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.

Now, in this custom, a robe signified power and authority in the family clan. This robe represented a position of honor and esteem, one that held him in favor from Israel. But, what I learned from this passage is that a robe, or a title of a sort, does not automatically present you with favor with his brothers, or in other terms, does not automatically gain the respect of others.

A title means nothing, but is just a title. When it comes to ministry, a title is meaningless, but it is the relationship built, and the actions that are taken that present depth behind the title. As a leader, I must establish that depth, with or without a title.

Father God, I pray for your anointing. I pray that you do a miracle in my life by allowing me to be used by you. Purify my heart to be holy. Forgive me of my sins that I may know You. I pray that you give me favor in your eyes. Allow me to speak into the lives of those around me, and I pray earnestly to build and disciple others that may also seek a heart after your own. I thank you for this and I give you all the honor and glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

All Are Sinners, No Worst, No Less, But Jesus Calls Us To Repent

Luke 13:1-5
1Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

All people are guilty of sin. I am guilty of sin. I have disobeyed God many times. There is no difference in sin between you, me, and the person who is in jail. Jesus is saying that so we may repent of our sins.

I need to repent of the sins that I have committed. Here is my reminder from God that I am a sinner. I must repent for what I have done. I must turn from my sinful ways. I must return back to the Father.

Father God, forgive me of my sins. I have done wrong in your eyes. Allow your blood to cover it up. I am ashamed of who I am, for I am a sinner, dirty and evil in your eyes. But Lord, with your grace and your mercy, I thank you for your forgiveness. I pray for a renewing of my life in You. I pray that I keep pure and holy. Allow me to be strong in You. I thank you, Lord. I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

God Is In This Place, And We Are Not Aware Of It

Gen 28:16-19
16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it." 17 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven."

18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. 19 He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz.

On Jacob's journey, he had encounter God in a dream. When awaking from the dream, Jacob realized that God's presence was there. So many times we may feel that way, were we feel that God is not with us. But, just like Jacob, we may not be aware of it, but God is with us. God may be working in our lives, and we may not see it.

I need God's eyes to see, and know that he is with me. I may not be spiritually aware that God is present, and I need to be so in tune with what God's spirit us speaking to me about.

Father God, I pray for your spirit. Lord, give me eyes to see and ears to hear what your spirit is speaking to me about. Give me your heart to know, so that I may be aware of your Holy Spirit. Sometimes I may not be aware, but lord, I pray that you be so evident that I know that it is you. I thank you, Lord, and I pray for great things to come.
Amen.

Even Through A Radical Change, I Will Go

Gen 24:54-58
54 Then he and the men who were with him ate and drank and spent the night there.
When they got up the next morning, he said, "Send me on my way to my master."

55 But her brother and her mother replied, "Let the girl remain with us ten days or so; then you may go."

56 But he said to them, "Do not detain me, now that the LORD has granted success to my journey. Send me on my way so I may go to my master."

57 Then they said, "Let's call the girl and ask her about it." 58 So they called Rebekah and asked her, "Will you go with this man?"
"I will go," she said.

Rebekah life was being changed by the Lord. She was asked to be the wife of someone who she did not know. This is very typical in these days, but this was different because God's divine hand was specifically and specially involved. Rebekah said immediately that she will go.

Just like the life of Rebekah, God is also working in my life. He may be calling me, and I need to say, "I will go." My life will be changed by what God has in store for me, and I need to say, "I will go."

Father God, I will go. Send me to the place that you have in store. Do a miracle in my life and through to the lives of others. I pray that your Holy Spirit guide my life in a way that is pleasing to you. I pray that sin may not have a hold on my life, but that your Spirit protect me in every way. Give me strength to be used by you. I thank you, and I give you praise in Jesus name.
Amen.

Though I Failed You In The Same Way Time And Again, You Are Good

Gen 20:1-2
1 Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar, 2 and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, "She is my sister." Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.

Here, even after a transformation and change for Abraham, he has failed at the same place as before in Egypt. He goes and states that Sarah is his sister, showing his lack of trust in God.

Even after being changed by God, we can still fail Him. We are but human, but He is God. Abraham is an example of this, even his change of his name and being closer to God, Abraham still fails at the same thing. But through his journey with God, he learned to trust Him more. Although I failed God more than once in the say way, He is a gracious God. In the same way, I prayerfully hope that I may change and trust in Him.

Father God, I thank you for this passage of hope. Just like Abraham, I have failed you. Same thing, so many times, in the say way. But Lord, I pray that I may call upon your blood, that I may be saved through grace. And that I may come to you in repentance and trust in You. Lord, save me. Guide me. Use me. I give all that I am to you. I pray that you do a miracle in my life. Thank you, Lord. I give you all that you are, the glory and honor. In Jesus name.
Amen.

Suffering May Come From The Sins Of Others

Gen 12:13-20
13 Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you."

14 When Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that she was a very beautiful woman. 15 And when Pharaoh's officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into his palace. 16 He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, menservants and maidservants, and camels.

17 But the LORD inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram's wife Sarai. 18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram. "What have you done to me?" he said. "Why didn't you tell me she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, 'She is my sister,' so that I took her to be my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!" 20 Then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his way, with his wife and everything he had.

This passage records Abram's lie to the Pharaoh, passing Sarai as his sister, and not as his wife, in fear that they might kill him if he is the husband. Well, Abram did not trust in the Lord. He was afraid of what would happen. That was a sin that he did. And because of sin, the byproduct would be suffering. The sins that we do brings suffering into the world, and it doesn't necessarily only effects us. Here, the suffering was put on Pharaoh. Because of Abram's distrust to the Lord, Pharaoh and his household suffered. They were innocent people that was at the short-end of Abram's lie, but yet they suffered because of it. The by-product of sin is suffering, and death.

Many people always wonder why there is suffering in the world. They also wonder why bad things happen to people who are good. Well, sin is the answer. Because people disobey God, there is sin. Because of sin, there is suffering. Because of sin, there is death. The only way we can overcome sin, and reconnect with God, is through Christ Jesus.

Father God, I thank you for your Son, Jesus. Because of His death and His resurrection, we may overcome sin and have salvation. Lord, I realize that sin in not only about me, but also effects the whole world. I pray that my sins be forgiven by your grace and mercy. I pray that my sins be covered by your Holy blood. Lord, you are so good. I thank you for this. Continue to speak to me through the Holy Spirit. Guide me and change me from the inside out. I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

Good Intentions May Not Be The Lords Intentions

Gen 11:3-4
3They began to talk about construction projects. "Come," they said, "let's make great piles of burnt brick and collect natural asphalt to use as mortar. 4Let's build a great city with a tower that reaches to the skies - a monument to our greatness! This will bring us together and keep us from scattering all over the world."

Here the people have good intentions, they want to build something to help them be united, but sometimes good intentions may not be good. The people started to consider what they were making an idol, something that they took pride in making, taking over worshiping the Lord.

I need to watch out for idols in my life. It is so easy to lose sight of God, especially now days when everything is about material possession and accomplishments. I may have good intentions at first, but I need to follow God, and His will.

Father, Lord of my life. I thank you for all the blessings that you have blessed me with. You are good. Keep me focused on you, and do not let me stray from your intentions. I pray that your Holy Spirit continue to guide me. I thank you, Lord, and I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Not To Have Sin Master You, But To Master Sin

Gen 4:7
"If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."

Sometimes I forget that sin can engulf you slowly. It is crouching at the door.

We must master our sins. We must do what is right, or sin may take over. We must even come to a point where we hate sin so much, to deny it. And we can do this through the strength of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Father, you are my Lord and my Savior. That means to follow all that you are. You promised, if I do what is right, you will be pleased, but give me strength to overcome sin. Keep it out of my house, my life. Only through you may I do this. I pray for your Holy Spirit to guide me and keep me on your light. I give to you all these things in Jesus name.
Amen.

Bearing The Same Seeds As The Fruit

Gen 1:12
12The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw it was good.

This passage of God creating the earth and everyhing in it speaks to me more than plants and vegetables, but about the seeds. Just like how fruits produce seeds according to their own kind, those who we teach and disciple also bear the same kind of fruits that are planted into them from those who disciple them.

I need to be careful the things that I do and the teachings that I teach when discipling. If I teach wrong things not according to the Lord, then I will bear bad fruits with bad seeds.

Father God, I pray for your anointing. Allow me to be use for you, and according to your word. Do not let to lead others off the path of Your light, but to bear good fruit and good seeds, because the fruit bears seeds according to its kind. Thank you Lord, and be blessed in Jesus name.
Amen.
