God's Doctrines

Titus 2:1
1You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.

This is a very simple message coming from God's Words. It shows here that whatever we teach, let it be according to the Word of God, Holy and anointed words that speaks into our lives.

I want my messages come straight from God; His words and his messages should be according to the Bible and its teachings. Whatever comes from me should be following the doctrines that God teaches in His words.

Father, I pray against anything that does not come from you. Let me realize it and remove it in Jesus name. I pray that you be central and that your words of Salvation be spoken to all. Let me do your will. I thank you for blessing me and I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

God Can Use All People

Amos 1:1-3
1 The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa—what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.

2 He said:
"The LORD roars from Zion
and thunders from Jerusalem;
the pastures of the shepherds dry up,
and the top of Carmel withers."

3 This is what the LORD says:
"For three sins of Damascus,
even for four, I will not turn back my wrath .
Because she threshed Gilead
with sledges having iron teeth,

This is what the Lord does. He speaks to people and gives them vision. The beauty of this passage is that God was speaking to Amos. He was using Amos to do His will, and the thing is, Amos was not a prophet, he was not a teacher of the Law, he was not much of any spiritual leader; he was just a Shepherd, but he was willing to do God's works.

God is able to use anyone to do His will, we just have to be willing and available. We need to trust in the Lord that His will be done, and God will do great things through us.

Father, I thank you that you are not someone who only uses the great and mighty, but anyone who is willing to trust in you and obey you. I thank You that you use me to do great things. I know that you are behind me 100%, and that your anointing is covering me. I thank you and I pray that I continue to know that you are God. I pray thing and give you all the glory.
Amen.

Form Of Godliness, Inside And Out

2 Tim 3:2-3
2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

This passage shows me that to not go into a form of godliness, having features that show my Christian behavior, but not having the heart of God on the inside. It is so easy to just go through the motions, but when the heart is full of sin, then it is not God's will, but the flesh.

I need to not just go through motions. I need to get rid of any kind of fleshly desires in the heart, and take up God's love and will for my life. I need to let my worship and praise and all that I do be coming from the Holy Spirit.

Father, I thank you for your love for me. Clean me up from the inside out, so that I may do a great thing in Christ Jesus. Work on my heart and let me continue to desire you in all things. I know that you are blessing me with your Spirit and continue to give me your heart to serve and worship. I thank you and praise you in Jesus name.
Amen.

God's Love For A Lost World

Jonah 4:5-11
5 Jonah went out and sat down at a place east of the city. There he made himself a shelter, sat in its shade and waited to see what would happen to the city. 6 Then the LORD God provided a vine and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort, and Jonah was very happy about the vine. 7 But at dawn the next day God provided a worm, which chewed the vine so that it withered. 8 When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah's head so that he grew faint. He wanted to die, and said, "It would be better for me to die than to live."

9 But God said to Jonah, "Do you have a right to be angry about the vine?"
"I do," he said. "I am angry enough to die."

10 But the LORD said, "You have been concerned about this vine, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. 11 But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?"

This is an account of God's love for all people. He is concerned with everyone, those that are in Him as well as those that are perishing. That is why God gave Jesus to die on the Cross for us, even when we are sinners. This is His how much He loves us, as well as showing us the Lost.

God loves us abundantly, every one of us. He is showing the lost to us, those can can not see their spiritual downfall. He is saying that there is a world that doesn't know Him and wants us to share His love with them. That is what He is doing. He wants to extend His love to those that don't know Him. That should be our concern, that should be my goal.

Father God, a great and loving God, one that loves us so much that He gave His Son to us. I thank you Lord. I pray that your heart be passed to me, that I may have the love that you have for the lost. I pray that I humble myself before you and have Your Spirit cover me with yours. I know that there is a lost world out there, and I pray that I may be one who shows them your love. Use me in a mighty way to change this generation, to change this world. I pray this in your Holy name.
Amen.

A New Generation Filled In His Spirit

Joel 2:28-29
28 "And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.

29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Joel is speaking of the Holy Spirit in this time. He is predicting a new generation, a generation where all are filled with His Holy Spirit. In the age that Joel is in, only certain people are prophets and worked in the Spirit, but he declares that the generations to come will be able to prophesy and dream dreams.

That generation is here. The time has come for all to be filled with God's Spirit and to move in His will. We need the Holy Spirit to work in our lives, to move us and empower us to fulfill God's plans. This generation is going to take things to the next level.

Father God, this generation is a new generation that can prophesy and dream dreams in the name of Jesus. Let your Holy Spirit fill your people to move this world into a time to declare you as Lord. I pray for your anointing on your people, to bless them and have mercy on the wicked, to pour your Spirit on them, and to use them in a mighty way. I thank you Lord, and with all the glory goes to a Great and Might God.
Amen.

Give Gladly

2 Chron 24:9-12
9 A proclamation was then issued in Judah and Jerusalem that they should bring to the LORD the tax that Moses the servant of God had required of Israel in the desert. 10 All the officials and all the people brought their contributions gladly, dropping them into the chest until it was full. 11 Whenever the chest was brought in by the Levites to the king's officials and they saw that there was a large amount of money, the royal secretary and the officer of the chief priest would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place. They did this regularly and collected a great amount of money. 12 The king and Jehoiada gave it to the men who carried out the work required for the temple of the LORD. They hired masons and carpenters to restore the LORD's temple, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the temple.

What comes to mind when reading this passage is the heart of the people who are giving. It said they came and gave gladly.

This is the heart that we should have, to give cheerfully and gladly. They were giving so that the Lord's temple could be repaired. In the same way, we should give gladly so that we can further the Kingdom of the Lord.

Father, I want to thank you for opportunities to give back to you. I know sometimes my heart is not doing it cheerfully, but do a work in me. I want to give gladly with all of my heart. I know that you are looking at the heart and how our heart is. I thank you for blessing me so much. I give you all the praise in Jesus name.
Amen.

Part Of A Family

1 Tim 5:
1Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.

3Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. 4But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.

I believe that the Lord is speaking about family in this passage. In the literal term, he states to treat others as family in the Lord, but to care for one another as family.

Just like my real family, I also have a family in the Lord. As I should for both, I need to care for them, and be a good son or brother in the family.

Father, I thank you for your word about family. It may be my real family or my family in the Lord. I thank you for both. I know that you have blessed me abundantly and have given me great loving people in my life. I thank you so much for that. I pray that I be able to take care of them and to be a good witness on behalf of my heavenly Father. I thank you and pray this in your Holy name.
Amen.

Watch Your Words

1 Tim 5:15-16
15Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

In this letter, it shows that we as leaders need to prepare ourselves and not lead others in ways that are not pleasing to the Lord. Here it specifically states to watch what you preach, and make sure that it is according to the word of God.

I need to always check and align myself with the word of God. His words comes from the Bible and my messages and my life must be a representation of what His will is for us.

Father, I thank you for your word and I pray for your anointing to go into these words. Have your spirit in them and let it manifest your glory. Let it speak into my life and let it be according to your will. I pray that the words that are given always be aligned to your will. I thank you for your word and let it guide me I pray in Jesus name.
Amen.

Trust In The Lord

2 King 6:33
33 While he was still talking to them, the messenger came down to him. And the king said, "This disaster is from the LORD. Why should I wait for the LORD any longer?"

There was a great famine in the kingdom of Israel and the king at the time comes up to Elisha and asks why he should wait for the Lord. The king is just waiting for the Lord to save him and his kingdom. He is looking to the Lord to solve the problem. His patience for the Lord is up and he is tired of waiting.

The Lord has plans for all of us. Many times we want to see results. We want to see that the Lord can instantly save and instantly solve our problems, but we have to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own will. Sometimes God may have us in a situation because he wants to build our character and mold us through trails. We have to stick with the Lord and trust that He is with us, not just a instant answer.

Father, I pray for your anointing. Have your spirit guide me in the things that I do for you. Let me live for you as a servant and disciple as how you want me to live. I pray that I be able to attest through situations with your trust, knowing that you have your hand on things. I pray that you make me into a man that you meant me to be. I thank you for these challenges and I pray that you be glorified in Jesus name.
Amen.

The Goal Is Love

1 Tim 1:3-5
3As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer 4nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God's work—which is by faith. 5The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

The attitude comes from the heart. I know that what we do in ministry and in the Lord depends on how our heart's intent is, not what we do. We may do lots of thing, but if it isn't for a sincere and loving heart, then it is meaningless.

I must look into my life and examine my heart. I need to change my ways that have been off and get back on track to God's purpose and His will. This all starts with the love that comes from His Love.

Father, I thank you for the opportunity to love more. I know that the purpose to lead is to lead others in a loving way to see your love and mercy you have for us. I pray that you guide me in this way. Prepare my heart to serve you and teach me your ways. Set my heart to do things in a loving way I pray in Jesus name.
Amen.

Seeking God's Plans

1 Kings 22:4-5
4 So he asked Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?"
Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses." 5 But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, "First seek the counsel of the LORD."

We must always seeks the way of the Lord. God's wisdom is great and He knows what's best for our lives. As our Heavenly Father, we must seek the counsel of the Lord.

God's wisdom is great and He has great plans for us. He knows the greatness that is to come from our lives. He has plans for us, and we must always seek His plans and purpose.

Father, I thank you for your word and that I may receive it in faith. I pray that your plans for me and your purpose for my life be central. I pray that I may put you first in my life. I give it all to you. Let me be strong and I know that you'll be with me. I pray all these in your glory.
Amen.

God's Witnesses In Life

Col 3:22-24
22Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

We are always serving the Lord, in all that we do. We are witnesses in all the things that we do. Whether it is working, studying, playing, we are still followers of Christ.

We must continually act as followers of Christ Jesus. In our workplaces, we must be workers of the Lord, showing others that Christ is in us. Not that we may please our bosses, but to give glory to the Lord.

Father God, I know that you are the God that we serve, so let us serve you in all that we do, that it may be pleasing to you, and that you may be glorified. I pray that in our work, in our studies, in our families, that we may live life in a manner that glorifies your name. I pray that our heart's intent is to serve you. I thank you for your word that strengthens me. Continue to show yourself in my life. I thank you and pray this in Jesus Holy name.
Amen.

Heart To Obey

1 King 17:2-6
2 Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah: 3 "Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there."

5 So he did what the LORD had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

When I first read this passage, it would remind me of how God would provide for His people, but when you dig deeper into God's words, it speaks of how obedient Elijah was to the Lord. When told to go somewhere, he did it. He didn't know what was to come, or why to do it, but he did it without questions.

Sometimes my relationship with God is about reason, that there must be a reason for what he does, there must be a notion behind the things that go on, but God is speaking here that I must learn to obey. It is the heart of obedience that God is looking for. I may be doing things, but I may question the motives. God looks for one that will do His will by trusting in Him.

Father, I pray that I may trust you more with your will. I pray that I have a more obedient heart to submit to your will. Lord, I thank you for you are a God that knows all things and you know what you want to do, so I pray that I may trust in You. I thank you for your words and I pray that I keep this in my heart. I pray all these in Jesus name.
Amen.

God Has Mercy On Us

2 Chron 12:5-7
5 Then the prophet Shemaiah came to Rehoboam and to the leaders of Judah who had assembled in Jerusalem for fear of Shishak, and he said to them, "This is what the LORD says, 'You have abandoned me; therefore, I now abandon you to Shishak.' "

6 The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, "The LORD is just."

7 When the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the LORD came to Shemaiah: "Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

Israelites deserve to be punished for the evil things that they did, yet as they humbled their hearts to the Lord, the Lord had mercy on them. A lot of people can't understand that God is a just God and He has to punish us for evil. But the good news is that Jesus saved us from this punishment.

This just attests to God's goodness. He is a loving God, one who sent His only son to save us. it is just a reminder of the things that this God of the Universe has blessed us with.

Father, I thank you for the love that you have shown us. I thank you for Jesus on a great Cross. If it weren't for you, then I would be separated from you, but I thank you for your mercy. I pray that I continue to remember your goodness. I thank you and pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Stop The Complaining And Arguing

Philip 2:14-16
14Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe 16as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.

I have to admit that sometimes I would "vent" a lot about things, but the Lord says not to complain or argue so that I may be blameless and pure. Although it is all in the Love for the Lord, it is tough at times, but the Lord shows us to confide in Him and He will be with us.

I need to stop my complaining, even if it in the heart. I know that all of these ministries is tough, but I need to draw my strength from the Lord God for He is my rock.

Father, I pray for your strength. I need you to be with me through tough times. I pray that I may not have a heart that complains or argues, but a heart that is after your own heart. One that loves and does things cheerfully. I thank you for this word and pray that it change my spirit in my ministry. I thank you again and pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

God's Words Preached In Love

Phillip 1:15-18
15It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

Paul speaks about the heart of the message and how there are different motives behind people that share God's message. Though it is important to share God's words with others, the issue is the heart of it.

We should always share God's words in Love. Just like Jesus, we must show love to those that don't know Christ. It is in love that we share the gospel to others.

Father God, I thank you for your grace and mercy on me for I am a sinner. I do wrong and am not worthy to be in your Holy Spirit, but only through your Love for me can I do so. I am blessed to serving you and I pray that I may serve you with a loving heart. I pray that my motive be love and for others to know your through a loving heart. I thank you for this passage to remind me of that and I need to continue to work in this. I thank you and praise you in Jesus name.
Amen.

Beyond Understanding

Ecc 11:3-5
3 If clouds are full of water,
they pour rain upon the earth.
Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north,
in the place where it falls, there will it lie.

4 Whoever watches the wind will not plant;
whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

5 As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother's womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things.

This passage shows me that there is so much that I don't know about the world, and that I was not made to try and figure it out. God wants us to trust in Him in our life. He shows us so many things that are out of our understanding to let us know that it is beyond our comprehension.

Just let God be God, and enjoy His creation and the life that He has blessed us with. There are many people that go through life trying to figure it out, but God shows us here that we will never be able to understand the workings of a great Universe that He created.

Father, I know that you are the greatest among all things. You are the God of this Universe. We are so small compared to your greatness, and I know that it is not for us to understand You, but to trust you and live a life that is worthy of You. I thank you Lord for the blessings you have given and the challenges that make me who I am. I give you all the praises and thanks, and pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

How To Build Others Up

Eph 4:29-32
29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

As a leader, I must be living a life that does not cause anyone else to stumble, but to build others up in Christ. I know that this passage shows me how to do these things. It is so that we may live together as a united Body of Christ.

I must not cause others to stumble through the ways that I go about handling things and how I act to those I am leading and others. I must show compassion and take the lead in what God wants so that others may follow. It is influence that is pleasing to God.

Father, I thank you for your love for me and others while in sin. I thank you for building me up as a leader so that I may lead others in You. I pray that I may be able to show others the path, not causing others to stumble, but to live a life that is fulfilling in Christ. I pray that you change me and refine me in this way. I know that it is going to be though, but I know that you will be with me through this. I thank you and pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Vows and Promises

Ecc 5:4-7
4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. 5 It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it. 6 Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, "My vow was a mistake." Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands? 7 Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore stand in awe of God.

This is exactly the discussion I was having with Dustin the other night. It is better if you not make a promise than say you're going to do something and not do it. It says it here in the book of Ecclesiastes. This is so that we are able to work together as one unity in the Body of Christ.

I need to also watch myself when I make vows to others. I must also work on not making so many vows that I may stretch myself to thin among ministry. I must put my heart into the things that I do and do it for the Lord.

Father, I thank you for your wisdom. I know that you are the Lord and that you have so many things for us to do that will glorify your name, but Lord, I pray that I may not make promises I can not keep. Guide me in this way so that I may not cause any to stumble. Let your Holy Spirit guide me and show me how to do these things. I thank you and praise you in Jesus name.
Amen.

Away From Temptation And Satisfied In You

Proverbs 30:7-9
7 "Two things I ask of you, O LORD;
do not refuse me before I die:

8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.

9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, 'Who is the LORD ?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.

This is such an awesome prayer of humility. It doesn't mean that God does not bless us with so much, but it is a prayer to humble the heart and to live a life that is satisfied with what God has blessed us with. It is to know that we are human and that we are capable of facing more sin if put in certain situations.

I need to humble my heart and my life like how it is prayed here. I know that God will provide. He is the great and powerful God of the Universe, He can provide for even the birds in the air, so much more He can provide for the one He died for. Let that be my prayer, to be contempt with my daily bread; to be satisfied with You.

Father, I thank you for your Love for me and the blessings you have poured over my life. I know that you are a loving God who cares for His children. Let me be humbled before you in prayer as I read through your words and receive breath in my life through it. I pray for a satisfaction for your daily bread and that I may continue to seek you daily. I know that I am human, and pray against temptation and sin. I thank you for being with me I pray for forgiveness of my faults and repent from my sins, that I may turn away from it, and be living a life pleasing to you. I thank you Lord and pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Keep Away From Division

Romans 16:17
17I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

Again, here in the Bible it teaches us to fight against division within the Body of Christ. It warns us to watch out for things that cause division and causes the church to be divided.

We need to constantly watch out for satan's attacks. He knows that the church, when divided and not working in unity, will fall apart and not be effective for God's works. Let us pray against these attacks and watch out for division within as well as build unity within God's people.

Father, I thank you for your words that speak so much truth. I know that the devil is out to ruin the Body of Christ and I know that he is finding ways to do it, but I pray against such things. I pray that God's people be united through Christ Jesus and that we stand against any division that comes our way. Let us greet each other in love and continue to build that relationship with each other as we do in Christ. I thank you for your blessings and I pray this in Your Holy name.
Amen.

Right Blessings, Right Time

Proverbs 27:14
14 If a man loudly blesses his neighbor early in the morning,
it will be taken as a curse.

This verse spoke to me about how to go about with encouragement and blessings. It shows us that we have to do everything in a right manner and at the right time. This verse is not talking about "self" Christians who shout out praises so everyone can hear. No, this verse is talking about giving blessings to someone who is still sleeping. Even the best blessings at the wrong time could be a curse to others.

We must be wise in the way that we handle things. I know I have to think before I do things. If I say things in a wrong manner or at the wrong time, it may come off as a curse instead of a blessing. I need God's wisdom to do things correctly.

Father God, I know that you are full of wisdom and that your guidance in my life is precious to me. I pray for your ways to do things be my first thought and decision. I pray for your wisdom in how to handle things, in how to encourage and bless. I pray that your will be done in all situations. I thank you Lord, and I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen.

Restrain Yourself

Proverbs 23:19-21
19 Listen, my son, and be wise,
and keep your heart on the right path.

20 Do not join those who drink too much wine
or gorge themselves on meat,

21 for drunkards and gluttons become poor,
and drowsiness clothes them in rags.

This verse talks about don't drink and eat too much, not only to take care of the body that God has given us, but much more than that. It is stating to be disciplined in yourself and build restraint.

Sometimes I have a hard time restraining myself and being disciplined in my ways. I know that it is tough to do it and that I have to fight against my flesh. God's purpose through all this is to build me up and sharpen me in all characteristics in my life.

Lord God, I thank you for your words, your great wise words that speaks truth in my life. I know that you know what is best for me. I know that you will continue to help me grow and mold me in a way that you have wanted for me. Let me build discipline in all things, not just eating and drinking, but against all things that is unpleasing to you. I thank you Lord and continue to be with me I pray in Jesus Holy name.
Amen.

Clothed In Christ

Romans 13:14
14Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

I believe the flesh is something that we will always struggle with, but the Bible says to clothe ourselves with Christ. We must fill our hearts with that which is the Lord to overcome temptation.

I need to be more in Christ and more in His will, so that I may overcome my sins and my temptation to sin. I know that the Lord is with me and He is my strength. I need to only cover myself with His will and His desires for me.

Father, I thank you Lord for your Love for me. Let me love like how you love. Let me more and more like you. Cover your spirit over my life so that I may be clothed by You. I pray for your anointing and your power to come into my life. Lead me in your ways I pray. In Jesus name.
Amen.
