Obedient of His Words

Rom 2:13
13For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.

Paul is talking about judgement and how it is not how we judge, but eternally, God will be the ultimate judge. He goes on about how we are judged upon. He tells us that it is not enough to hear the word of God, but to obey and be righteous through God in your life.

It is hard to do everything that you tell yourself you're gonna do. Paul encourages us here to be doers of the work of the Lord, not just hearers. To obey His law is to lead to righteousness.

Father God, I pray that I may do what you tell me to. Lord, let me be obedient with your words. I pray that I have strength to follow your words. Be with me Holy Spirit as I live a life in righteousness. I thank you and give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

Continue to Seek the Lord

Matt 20:29-34
29As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. 30Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

31The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

32Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.

33"Lord," they answered, "we want our sight."

34Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

These two blind men where shouting for Jesus, they were seeking Him earnestly. Others rebuked them and told them to be quiet and not make any commotion, but they continued to shout for Jesus despite the criticism.

There are going to be a lot of people criticising you for seeking God. Some may be from the non christians, others may be from your own brothers and sisters telling your to be quiet and stop shouting for Jesus. It says in 1 Chron 22 to devote your heart and your soul to seeking the Lord. These two blind men are examples of that. We need to continuously seek to Lord with all our hearts.

Father God, I thank you for your Love for us, even though we do not deserve it. Lord, I thank you and give you honor and praise. Lord, I pray for your spirit and your strength, that I may continue to seek you always everyday. Lord, let me grow more in you. I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

The Power of the Cross

1 Col 1:17-18

17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

Jesus died on that cross for me and you. Jesus paid for the price of our sins by dying on that cross for us. Who would die for me. Who would get beaten and whipped for me. Jesus did that for me, because he loved me so much that he can't stand me going to hell. He over came sin through the cross and took the authority of sin. Only through Him can we come to salvation.

Sometimes we don't give enough credit to the Lord for his sacrifice for us. We dumb down what he did for us. Oh yeah Lord, you died for me so that I may come to salvation. Let me see what that means. Let me see what you have saved me from. Let me know the true meaning of what that was worth.

Father God, I thank you for your Love for me. Lord, I thank you for the beating and the torture and the cruelty that you went through on the cross, for me. Lord, I thank you for that. If it was not for that, then I would not be able to see the full glory of you. Lord, thank you. Change that in me. In Jesus name.
Amen.

Missions Conference 2007

Pastor Pam Seaward, who is from Nepal, was giving praying for me when she had gotten a word from the Lord. The Lord said, "Go Fo Broke".

Now, this is a woman who knows nothing about the culture and the pidgin in Hawaii and she says to me something that I need to hear. "Go Fo Broke". Now I had Danford pray that to me before, but Pastor Pam! This is definitely something that God is telling me. I need to take that step that God wants me to be. I need to listen to the Lord and know how He is moving. "Go Fo Broke". Even when things are not looking good, and everything seems so hard, the Lord is telling me, "Go Fo Broke".

The Body of Christ

1 Cor 12:14-20
14Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 16And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 17If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

Everyone has a role in the Body of Christ. Every part is vital for the unity of the body of Christ. Christ has designated us each with our own parts. Each part is our duty for the Church.

With everyone having their own duty, we each have something to be responsible for. God has given us responsibility for our part in the Church. We make up the Body of the Church, and we are each the Church.

Father God, I thank you for this unity of the Church. Lord, I know that you have given each one of us a task and a responsibility to do. Lord, I pray that you strengthen our unity and build each other up so that we may do as you have asked. Lord, I thank you for your love for us. I thank you for your blessings and I give you all the glory in Jesus name.
Amen.

God Is In Control

Jeremiah 14:4-6

4 The ground is cracked
because there is no rain in the land;
the farmers are dismayed
and cover their heads.

5 Even the doe in the field
deserts her newborn fawn
because there is no grass.

6 Wild donkeys stand on the barren heights
and pant like jackals;
their eyesight fails
for lack of pasture."

This passage shows us the power of the Lord. He is the maker of the heavens and the earth. He can deliver rain for crops as well as deliver us from our troubles. The Lord is my God and I need to let Him be in control.

We can not do anything, but everything is possible through Christ Jesus. He is the reason that I am able to do anything. The Lord is in control of everything. That is how much I need to depend on Him.

Father God, I thank you for your goodness. Lord, I know that you are God of this earth, and I know that you can give as well as take, but Lord, I know that you are a merciful God and that you will provide from me. Lord, I make you in control of my life. Take it and use it for your glory. I give you all the praise in Jesus name.
Amen.
